In 2018 and every November, IPC observes a “Harvest Festival,” celebrating God’s manifold provision throughout the year. We enjoy good food and offer home-grown or home-made food for sale, donated by Sunday school families and other members of the congregation. Proceeds of both the snacks and drinks as well as the food sale are used to fund various missions’ related projects.
For 2017, we partnered with the Harvester's Hillock Bible Church which we have supported for many years - the church apéro and special Harvest Festival envelope donations (November 5 & 12) went towards completion of a boarding home for orphaned and otherwise vulnerable children in one of the poorest countries on earth, Lesotho.
We have supported Harvesters Bible Church since 2005 and are happy to see a growing number of vibrant churches and mercy ministries in and around Mokhotlong, a city with a population of 7,000 at an altitude of 2,800 metres. We’d love to help Pastor Obed and the church to complete the building of the boarding home as soon as possible.
In 2018, the funds raised will be distributed between 3 missionaries supported by IPC. All of them have had financial difficulties in the past few months and will be very grateful for any financial help we can give them.
