🥾 IPC Family Walk & Picnic Day

Saturday, 22 August 2026
Location: Türlersee, Canton Zurich

This event has something for everyone! All are invited—families, children, casual walkers, and hikers. We will begin the day with a leisurely walk around the beautiful Türlersee, followed by swimming, a picnic lunch, and fellowship. Those who would like a little more exercise are welcome to join an optional afternoon hike through the Albis Forest to Hochwacht.

📅 Schedule

09:30 – Meet at Hausen am Albis, Türlersee bus stop
09:45–11:00 – Family walk around Türlersee
11:00–13:00 – Swimming, picnic lunch, and fellowship
13:00 onwards – Continue enjoying the Badi or join the optional afternoon hike
13:15–16:00 – Optional Albis–Hochwacht Forest Hike

📊 Morning Family Walk

  • Level: Easy, flat, stroller-friendly
  • Distance: 4.3 km
  • Walking Time: Approximately 1 hour

Türlersee is surrounded by peaceful woodland, nature reserves, and gentle hills. We will enjoy a leisurely walk on well-maintained lakeside paths before heading to the Badi for swimming, a picnic lunch, and fellowship. The mostly flat trail is suitable for families with young children and strollers, making it an enjoyable outing for all ages.

🥾 Optional Afternoon Forest Hike

For those who would like to continue hiking after lunch, we will head towards the Albis ridge through shaded forest trails, extending the day with an additional 9 km hike (240 m ascent / 240 m descent).

🎒 What to Bring

  • Picnic lunch and blanket
  • Water
  • Hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen
  • Swimwear, flotation device (optional), towel, and a change of clothes
